Cygal Art Deco Furniture -
Stunning handmade furniture in the glamorous style of French Art Deco of the 1920s and 1930s.
Peter Cygal, our late founder, followed his lifelong passion for Art Deco when he started his namesake company. He was inspired by the famous Art Deco designers Jules Leleu, Jean Dunand and Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, and his personal experience in restoring original vintage pieces from all over Europe.
The line of handcrafted furniture he created oozes the glamour and distinct charm of French Art Deco of the 1920s and 1930s. His workshop started out at a lean 150 square meters over 40 years ago. Today it measures approximately 60,000 square feet and receives requests from all over the world. His son Marcus inherited his vocation and now leads the German company in second generation. He remains true to his father’s legacy of passion and perfection. Cygal fine furnishings are recognized internationally. Our pieces are applied in residential, commercial, hospitality and yacht projects. The secret of this success is building on a great foundation of consistent quality, exclusivity and timeless elegance. Properties that have marked the business activities from day one.
Our US flagship store opened 2014 in the heart of the La Cienega Design District in West Hollywood, the following year we moved to a larger location at the well-known Pacific Design Center. In the year 2020, facing the reality of the pandemic, we quickly made the pivotal decisions and logistical changes to protect our business: We opted to not renew our lease in the PDC and have since been operating successfully from the Cygal Art Deco USA corporate offices and our warehouse.
