About Us

Peter Cygal founded his namesake company inspired by renowned Art Deco designers Jules Leleu, Jean Dunand and Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, and his personal experience in restoring original vintage pieces from across Europe. Art Deco was his lifelong passion. Cygal's creations exude the glamour and distinct charm of French Art Deco from the 1920s and 1930s.

Cygal Art Deco's workshop, which begun over 40 years ago in a modest 1500 square feet has since grown into a spacious 60,000, receiving requests from clients worldwide. His son, Marcus, now leads the German company in the second generation, carrying on his fathers legacy of passion and perfection. Cygal Art Deco fine furnishings are renowned internationally, serving residential, commercial, hospitality and yacht projects. The company's success can be attributed to its unwavering commitment to consistent quality, exclusivity, and timeless elegance. Qualities that have been integral to its business since its inception.

In 2020 we decided to relocate from the Pacific Design Center due to pandemic restrictions. This also marked our departure from a traditional store concept. In response, we successfully adopted our new approach and continue to serve our clients from the US corporate office, private showroom and warehouse in Los Angeles.
